The Beer: Say hello to a Special Ale 2007 (yearly Christmas ale) from the Anchor Brewing Company in San Fransisco, California. She pours a deep dark brown with a creamy tan head. Smells strongly of vanilla and tangerines with nutmeg topping it all off. The flavour is mostly roasted caramel with light citrus and spices but towards the finish you get a tongue full of tangy fruits. Pretty decent winter brew but the aftertaste isn't all you'd want it to be but it may be because of the age. Contains 5.5% alcohol and ran me $12 for a six. One thumb up but as always get a second opinion.
